What Xmas movie is this? They put dye in snowballs, a dog dies, and maybe they steal church wine.?

I remember seeing a Xmas movie as a kid and i was wondering if someone can name it. They have snowball fights and some of the bad kids put dye in the snowballs. They build tunnels or igloos or something in the snow and it collaspes killing a dog. I think some of the bad kids steal wine from a church. Maybe there is a scene about snowballs to the cold ears.
