What is that movie about the Iditarod dog race?

It is an older movie, and I would guess it is more for kids than adults. It's probably in the catagory of a family movie. It is probably from the mid to early 90's or in the 80's. It is not "snow dogs" or "8 below". The main guy takes his dogs on the race and is up almost all the time racing and there is another racer trying to sabatoge him. It is good from what I can remember. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
