  1. Unless it's aggressive it doesn't need a muzzle.
  2. only if they bite people they dont no, if it does nip at new people then it needs a muzzle
  3. yes
  4. no - unless it's vicious, but no reason more than any other breed. Unless there are laws where you live.....
  5. If a puppy is well socialised with small dogs and cats it should not need a muzzle when its walked but its always good to be aware of your dogs prey drive, which can be high in greyhounds but many live with cats, rabbits small dogs etc. even some ex racers can live happily with small furries http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=X3vkxtF2-bg
  6. Ummm actually I saw somewhere its law in Australia ... IF i am wrong I give it a qualified no - qualified because circumstance is pertinent. Now off lead walking is not a good idea in any suburban area - that chase instinct is the product of 8,000 years of selective breeding and is gonna be there despite lack of experience. A fast moving rabbit of even a blowing scrap of paper & zoom--- he'll be off and he ain't gonna look both ways at the road. ON lead barring some freak situation with rabbits comming underfoot right & left he should be fine unmuzzled.
  7. I wouldn't think so. The greyhound is generally an intelligent, gentle breed. Wonderful animals.
  8. Greyhound, the breed is required to have a fully enclosed kennel, on leash at all times (including dog excercise parks) and muzzelled. In Australia anyway, regardless of racing status. I totally disagree of the blanket approach but thats the law. You might be able to get a permit allowing you leniency. I tried with no luck in my area, apparently it is because the breed is large and too fast. My argument was... have you ever tried to outrun a jack russel? sigh Check with your local council, they are the ones with the current bylaws.
