How do I keep my dog from peeing in the house!?
I have an 12 year old greyhound who we adopted from the racing track about 8 years ago. He's been a wonderful dog and we've never had any serious problems with him. He was house trained when we got him and has had few accidents in the many years we've had him; mostly when taking him over to other people's houses and the pet store. I recently moved out of the house, however, and took him with me. I know it's been tough on him. He was my shadow for the first month in our new residence and he even started to pee in one area of the house [the living room where we don't spend a lot of time]. He's on the same schedule to go outside as we've always had him so I know it's because he just can't hold it anymore. And he's seemed to be well adjusted to our new living arrangement, but he's still peeing in that same area of the house. I thought he would stop after getting used to the change, but it's still happening. Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please help!

- You can always cage him when you leave. If anything he is marking his territory. It is possible that he smells another animal in that corner too. You also might wnat to take him to the vet as it could be a bladder problem
- He's marking territory! Put him out!!!!
- First you may need to consider that he is getting older, and may be having trouble "holding it". You are correct to consider stress as the culprit too. Have you been to the vet to rule out any UTIs or other problems? Dogs, typically won't soil their own den, so placing him in a crate could help. If you dont feel comfortable crating, you should probably block off that area with doors, baby gates, or something when you are not there to supervise. You said you don't use the area much.. he may not accept it as a part of the "den". A nice tool is called a belly band.. you can order them online and they are easy to make with an a piece of old towel and some velcro or elastic. They wrap around the abdomen as an incontinence garment. You sound like a greyt mom. Good luck!
