If I have a dog that is epileptic can I get another dog?

I have an epileptic beagle at home, she has epileptic fits during the night about once every couple of months. I was thinking of adopting a retired racing greyhound. Should it be ok to get another dog and keep them together at night or is there a chance the new dog might attack the one having the fit?

  1. it all depends on the dogs. sometimes the new dogs presence during the fits will calm the other one down. it also can completely get rid of the fits or make them less common. (epilectic people can be with other people) :)
  2. My youngest greyhound has epilepsy and the other dogs wouldn't dream of attacking her. The typical grey would act worried, not aggressive. But if you're concerned about it, don't leave them alone at night until you've seen how the greyhound reacts when your beagle's having a seizure.
