How do I bet at the dog races?

I have been to the horse races many times, never the dog races. Is it the same?

1. It is the same for the most part, but easier because you just are betting on the dog and not a horse and jockey.
2. there is heaps more luck involved. If you have ever watched a dog race you can see how they get bumped and taken out so often. The box (or barrier) is what I prefer to bet on rather than the dog. Pick the box you think will have less interference and you are already in front.
