How do you prepare your pup for the weenie dog races?

Its one race a year...and our dauchshund LOVES to run...Is there anything special things other owners have done to prepare their dog? Thanks! Its hilariously cute!! If he was lazy we wouldnt get him into it..but he runs faster than we can sprint... He'll be so good. The bike is a good idea!

1. Run with him on a bike and go as fast as the dog can go be careful, this helps the dog to run faster good luck.
