What would Eight Belles and Barbaro think of PETA?

We know how PETA is trying to boycott and ban horse racing, but what would these two horses think? Many people think they both loved racing and had great heart. What would they think if their sport was gone forever? How about other racehorses, like Seabiscuit or Secretariat? In other words, would they say "thanks!" or "back off!"? Thanks! I totally agree with all of you. PETA just needs to leave horse racing alone. I'm going to put this is a different category & see what happens.

  1. Definitely they would say BACK OFF!
  2. I think Barbaro and Eight Belles would be angry that PETA thought they were neglected. They'll tell PETA that running is what they want to do and nothing else. I think that the other racehorses, like Secretariat, would want to give PETA a piece of their mind.
  3. If PETA had had their way and banned horse racing, neither Eight Belles nor Barbaro would ever have been born to say anything! If we did everything PETA wants, there would be far fewer animals in the world... which would be a real tragedy. These horses have graced us all with their nobility.
  4. Eight Belles and Barbaro would both tell PETA to just go away. We were not abused and we loved racing. PETA is just a Pain who has no clue what reality is
  5. I think they would be sad if their sport was gone forever..... they were bred to run, and I do believe they enjoyed it. If horse racing was banned, there would be even more of a glut on the horse industry as all the racing thoroughbreds would be " useless" and more horses would be shipped to slaughter or euthanized for no good reason. I think PETA needs to focus on that part of the horse industry instead of banning horse racing, as I do believe, in the right hands that the animals involved enjoy what they do. I had a cutting horse (the sport where the horse keeps one cow from the herd after the rider singles it out - kind of like a point guard in basketball) and she loved what she did. Even as a baby, she would "cut" the ranch dog - so it was bred into her, just like it is with racing thoroughbreds. It would be a sad day for all thoroughbreds if horse racing was banned.
  6. Back off, most certainly. Both of them were fantastic horses who loved to run, and I don't think they would have liked a ban on it just because of their tragic injuries. (R.I.P. to both of them, btw) As for Secretariat? He's the ultimate emblem of a horse that loved to run. PETA would have to watch their backs if he was still around. PETA is made up of a bunch of freaks who have no grasp of the real world. I'm not too concerned about them and their idiotic concepts.
  7. I think they'd tell them to back off. Especially with how they're using their deaths as fundraisers.
  8. Eight Belles, Barbaro et al would say TO THEIR OWNERS AND TRAINERS: Running is great exercise, but please don't give us any raceday painkillers, because if we don't hurt when we're supposed to, we'll run because we feel OK, but we could injure ourselves fatally if we have an injury we can't feel, and run with it anyway.
  9. Eight Belles and Barbaro would tell PETA to "Go to Hell". We are doing what we were born to do. RUN. All other horses would say the same thing. PETA has a point. May it be tiny but they have one. But the horses are doing what they want to do.
  10. Let PETA Boycott horse racing...What a wasted, useless organization!! The sport of Horse racing will never be banned... Theres just too much money in the sport... and it IS the sport of kings! If Secretariate were still alive, he'd give 'em a face full of horse show when he tell's 'em what he thinks! ;) IMHO, That useless organization just doesn't realize that PETA stands for "People Eating Tasty Animals".... Muahahaha ;) I luv animals, but I luv my steak too.....
  11. If they came near enough they would have stomped any PETA p-ssy to death. Have you ever watched wild horses or ponies.. they love to run. These horses... if they could speak in human terms would feel the same as race car drivers and boxers when told that their business is too dangerous. You may say that the jockey makes a horse run but in my experience that the old saying is true you can lead a horse to the track but you cant make him run. Most PETA people have no purpose in life and therefore try to find one by being a royal pain in the ass.
  12. If they could they'd probably say back the heck off. Thoroughbreds are like human runners, their passion is racing & running. PETA is a bunch of radical nutjobs who should be shut down.
