How do I become a Jockey?

It has been my dream since I was a child. I have shown for 9 years and people that I have met over the time say I would do great in the horse racing industry. I am small enough for quarter horse racing. I am having a hard time staring off. I know that is natural but I really have no idea where to start. There are no schools for this, that I am aware of.

1. Go to a brush track and ask the agents to work older horses at daylight for a work. Eventually you get an exercise license then get a chance to ride at a minor track..Mike Smith from Little town Dexter NM started that way and now he is riding in England and all over the world..
