Did you see the news clip on the weiner dog race?

They had the dogs inbetween a big breaded bun. It was so cute. I don't consider this dog abuse because the dogs are playing with their owners. Unlike Greyhound racing.

2. dachshund? why do owners not even know how to spell it? lol.. j/k it's just a pet peeve of mine. The race sounds like it was just for fun, so no argument there! BTW-- it is pronounced DOCK-sund.. not DASH hound. Just call 'em Doxies for short.
3. No I didn't see, would like to,, I have two miniature dachshund's..
4. I have to admit there is no way to watch a Wiener dog race and not laugh. They are just too funny.
5. Lots of rescues have dachshund (that's dachs (badger) hund (dog) in German) racing, just for fun at their events. It's hysterical, you're usually lucky if 1/3 of the dachsies finish. About a third go the wrong direction, 1/3 find something interesting to sniff in the middle of the race, and maybe 1/3 get to the finish - with their people waiting at the end and calling, cheering, and waiting with treats. Dachshund can run really fast on those powerful little legs -ears flying - the look as if they can get airborne sometimes.
6. I saw it! It was really cute and the dogs were having a lot of fun.
