Kentuky Durby famous horse..forgot the name..?

What happened to the famous horse form the Kentuky Durby Race?? Was he put to sleep?? I keep hearing about it, but never about what happened to him...

1. Yes, sadly, Barbaro was put down.
2. Kentucky* Derby* (In case you feel like learning how to spell one of our 50 states correctly). The horse was Barbaro. He was put to sleep sadly, due to injuries that were not curable.
3. The horses name was Barbaro. He was put to sleep on January 29. He got injured in the Preakness Stakes last year. He was doing well until he got laminitis in the left hind leg(an illness due to the un even distribution of weight. Very pain full.) Then it got better and the Jackson's were thinking of taking him home but then He got worse because he got laminitis in both of the front feet. Due to it he would have a very pain full life and the owners and the doctor decided to put him to sleep.
