Race Horse Mystery!!?

My friend has a race horse, and we know nothing about it's history. I wanna know something. Tell me if any of this stuff rings a bell to you. Ok here is what the horse looks like and stuff Thourbred retired gray with specks original owners dead has innitials on his front shoulder If you know any race horses like that, plz tell me their names!! Please???? Ask everybody you know!!

1. If this thoroughbred raced, he will have a tattoo inside his upper lip. If you flip up his lip you will be able to read it. Then you can contact the Jockey Club and tell them how old the horse is, what sex (gelding, i'm assuming), where the horse lives and probably raced, what color he is, and give them the tattoo number and they can look up the horse for you and give you information about when and where it raced. That's going to get you much better results than asking about a grey horse with specks. That definition fits millions of horses.
