new horse. lame in the rear end?
i just get a thoroughbred. shes older, and hasnt been riden in over 2 years. shes a retired race horse. shes absolutely a sweetheart, but i noticed she drags her back legs. bad. im not sure if shes really lame, or if she just normally walks like that. she did get kicked by my other horse when we first got her, but it was only one leg, not two. i bought like a gel that relieves arthiritis pain and such. i dunno. anyone have any ideas?

- get a vet to see her that could be really bad.
- ASK A VET
- One, I would have a vet come and look at her walking. I would also talk to the previous owner and ask them about the hind legs and her history. If it's bad, she may not be able to be ridden....then you may just have a wonderful companion, but not a rideable one. Good luck. :)
- Tons of reasons, none good-- Neck lesion Back lesion EPM West Nile Stifles and on and on Horse needs a vet!!
