  2. Here are a few websites of agencies that specialize in racehorse adoption, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, New Vocations and ReRun.   3. have fun with that... try C.A.N.T.E.R- they also put up standardbreds for adoption, which i'd pick over TBs.
  4. you can go to almost any horse rescue and be able to adopt one or go to any auction for that mater. Plenty of racehorses that are done running go straight to auction and the horse rescues will go get them out of the kill pen. Here are two links that are great adoption agencies. We have one in rehabilitation right now at celtic rein. Got him at auction weighing 910lbs, 16H He now weighs close to 1000lbs after 4 weeks.
