How do you feel about killing animals for their pelts?

I hate it and it's so cruel. Animals should be killed only for food and not for coats, rugs,wall ornatments, and trophies. Those hideous animal fur coats make people look fat anyways. I would just wear faux fur,since it looks the same and feels the same. The animals are really the ones who modle their skin the best! I'm sure youlle agree. Of course it's natural for some animals to be killed by other animals for the most nessecary reasons such as food(we are animals of course..were apes and carnivorous species kill other animls for food.) And just I think we souldnt kill them for pointess,and dumb reasons like trophies were they just kill them and throw them away. Hunting for fun is evil. also in this question I'm pretty much in concern for wild speices not domesticated. animals like cows and chickens dont matter because they will just keep being bred. Domestic animals will probobly be the last animals standing on this earth so yeah.. My concern is for wild ones and if they will become extinct because of unnessescary hunting.

1. Well I don't wear fur or eat meat. I don't think animals should be killed for any reason. I mean, eating an animal isn't a necessity.
2. i think that hunting, if you are going to use the meat and such, is ok unless its a rarer animal. killing them just for the heads or the furs is horrible.

9. I hate the idea of killing an animal just because you can, or want its fur or head or something. If its for a good reason... its atleast better. I mean.... I'll eat normal food, but I don't approve of everything that you said because of how cruel and horrible it is.

The only time its apporiate is if yur going to eat it as well.I have never owned a fur coat and don't want one. i would like a trophy or two but only the trophys that come from my husbands hunting. But we eat whats killed we've even tried squirrl but we weren't to fond luckly it was at a friends who had it and he enjoys that stuff
11. I have no problem with some one using leather from cattle or the hides from legally killed deer. Put to just kill an animal for its fur I am not for that put I can't say it's wrong. I enjoy deer hunting and I know a lot of you will think that is cruel. But you have no problem eating beef or pork at least the deer has a chance of getting away. And how many of you wear leather jackets or have leather car seats . And by the way I also like the taste of deer meat so I don't just trophy hunt. I see you added you didn't mean domesticated I guess you think they don't count as animals.
12. Taking a life for no reason is just wrong. I'm a muslim and only eat Halal meat (when the animal is killed painlessly and given its rights as a living creature). Its a sin to take life unnecessarily but if its going to be eaten as well then I suppose it would be fine, but from what I hear its just killed for its skin.
13. i think furs and such should only be used if the animal whole animal is being used. like with cattle, deer and rabbit (if hunting), and others. if the meat is being used by all means use the pelt. however if the animal is dying just to put its antlers on the wall or wear its coat, it is wrong. poaching is cruel and needs to have stronger penalties.
14. I dont see a problem with it as long as the main reason for killing the animal is for food! The animal should be killed in a humane way of course. In fact I thinks its a disgrace if the pelt isnt used for clothing, If your going to kill an animal you should try to use everything you can from that animal or its almost a waste! As for you veggies that think no animal should ever be harmed for any reason, Its ridiculous! You look at the food chain and there are many different animals in nature that are carnivores! Is it wrong for a bear to eat another animal? No. Yeah we can survive on a vegetarian diet, But meat is also a very good source of nutrition! Just some of us take advantage of this, and they end up fat ass slobs! But dont push your vegetarian lifestyle on me! It is not wrong to kill an animal for food! I like meat... you dont! Leave it at that! As for your thought on only caring about wild animals, sorry but thats ridiculous as well! Cows and Chickens are the 2 most tortured animal there are! It sux but its true. There stuck in little cages, fed steroids and other growth hormones, beaten and prodded! its really terrible what alot of farmers do to these animals! Which is why when buying meat or eggs I try to buy Organic or cage-free. Gotta do what you can I guess. Animal rights-Ridiculous!... Animal welfare- reasonable!

I am the owner of 2 beautiful chinchillas - animals who are raised for pelts for coats. they are the sweetest, most adorable little critters in the world, and my second chin was actually rescued from a ranch - he would've been pelted if not taken in by a rescue. these animals, and all animals, are precious and beautiful creatures that deserve to live freely and keep the skins they were born with. in this day and age, no animal should have to die so someone can wear them - we've come so far technologically that we have the option of wearing other things. the thought of my babies being used to make a coat makes me sick. I've also been a very healthy vegetarian for 21 years - I really don't see the need for an animal to die for me to eat. I eat other things and have no problems with it.
