What is the best way to handicap harness horses?
I'm an experienced handicapper for horse racing, but only recently got into trotters and pacers. I need some ideas on how best to handicap these races. I also want to know if what I've learned in thoroughbred racing is properly transferable.

- harness is all about the trip..... a horse may pace 154- from the 3 post and 156- from the 7 post..... so look to see how fast a horse has paced from a certain post. if the horse has never raced from that post..take the post nearest to the current one. the good ones like donato hanover win from any post!!!!
- In harness racing, it doesn't just matter which horse pooped before the race. Now you must poll the jockey's as well. Bet on the team positive for both.
- Go to the US Trotting Assn website and read the Pandycapping columns. He has a lot of helpfull tips and sometimes he relates them back to throughbred racing.
