Would you ban thoroughbred horse racing?
In the aftermath of the trackside death of Eight Belles at the Kentucky Derby, and considering how these horses have been horribly bred (too much inbreeding), would you want to ban the racing of these horses as a form of animal abuse? - No. Animals die in the wild everyday. At least at the track there is a vet on hand to try and save them or humanely euthanize them if there is no chance of recovery.
- it's in the horses makeup to run and jump, just as a dog likes to run ,bark and play, it's nature that has been fine tuned to become big business to the pleasure of millions. the miss world is nearly the same thing
- No, these great animals are treated better than most humans. If they do 3 good years of work, they retire just to breed.
