why does nevada prohibit dog racing?

They have every other kind of sport/gambling, why not dog racing?

1. Because we don't need it. We don't actually have a horse track or lottery either. The casinos have enough influence in the government to keep out any other forms of gambling, and again, it's totally unnecessary.
2. Too much water needed to grow the trees for the dogs to pee on.
