Where can I buy a Golden Retriever Puppy in California? I don't want any shelters because some shelters have vicious dogs. Thanks in Advance

LOL at the whole shelters have vicious dogs comment and the ONLY reason it made me laugh is because just here locally (we're in Cali) there is a golden breeder whos dogs are NOTORIOUS in the show circle because they are all severely dog aggressive-as if she intentionally breeds that into all her dogs. A dog is a dog and there is no guaruntee of the behavior or health regardless of where you get one. Unless you intend to show, PLEASE go through a rescue (since you don't want to go through a shelter, although the dogs in shelters end up being "put to sleep", so that should be your first choice for a "pet" quality dog). They have the dogs for long enough that they can tell you very accurately the temperament of the dog so you basically know what you're getting into. www.petfinder.com

They do tests on the adult dogs before they are up for adoption. Dogs that fail their tests are considered as unadoptable and get put to sleep.
