my golden retriever puppies are 9 days old and have scab all over entire body does anyone know what it is?

the scabs are brown color, they look like little cuts that have scabbed over

1. idk here is an idea go to the vet and find out
2. he might have mites.. please be very careful adults children can catch this aswell.. is the dog itchy flaky ... mites are no joke be aware do some research
3. i think it's best if you got the vet and have it check out before anything serious happens to them.
4. It may be do to fleas. Fleas can be deadly to puppies, so you should definately go to the vet.
5. they are either mites or flease most likely mites they need to see a vet as soon as possible before they infect there blood stream you also need to take the mother, because this is most likely where they got the mites from, take all pets too this is extremely serious darling and they need to be treated asap good luck
6. I agree with everyone else. They may have been attacked by fleas. You need to get them and the mother to a Vet asap. This could be really serious. I have been breeding Goldens for 30 years and have never come accross anything like that Are you feeding the mother the correct food? She. needs to be fed a good quality food, 5 meals a day, for lactating Dams and puppies. The food you are giving at present could be too rich for the puppies or maybe contain an ingredient which could cause them to have an allergic reaction. Also she must have access to water 24/7. This helps with her milk production. Please go and see your Vet and discuss everything with him. The puppies will need worming when they are two and a half weeks and every two weeks thereafter until they go to their new homes. The mother should be wormed one week after you worm the puppies each time because she will have ingested the worms from them when she cleans up after them. Don't buy OTC wormers, these can make the puppies very sick. Ask your Vet for a Prescription wormer, it's much better and far safer. I hope you find out what is causing these scabs. 7. I love field of golds answer and will vote for it... I wanted to add that you should have vet do scraping for mange tooo. have your mom dog also checked. I just did further reading and found this link check it out... as there is something called puppy strangles.. .new stuff to me.. learn something new everyday..
