how do I register my shih tzu puppies if mom is ckc and dad is akc?

- You cannot register them under AKC, both parents would need to be AKC registered. Don't worry... CKC will register anything and everything...
- You can not register with AKC but you could with CKC. CKC will register anything.
- both parents need to be AKC and I would believe the same thing with the CKC(not to familiar with them?????). But I do know that if both parents aren't AKC the puppies can't be registered with the AKC.
- You can't - in the U.S. only the AKC is legitimate. The CKC is a fake registry used by back yard breeders and puppy mills - it is not recognized by the AKC or legitimate breeders, so you cannot show a CKC dog in any qualifying matches or register her. You certainly cannot get AKC registry for the puppies, if you continue to breed this pair, you are just another back yard breeder. I have no doubt you can get CKC registration for the pups, but it is meaningless, everyone who knows about pedigrees is aware that CKC would register pigs and call them "pure bred". Please spay and neuter your dogs.
- Doubtless, you could register them with the C(ontinental) Kennel Club, but why waste your money? A CKC registration doesn't mean anything significant. If you want to give away some money, make a donation to your local shelter or a rescue group. They can always use it, and it would be better spent than a CKC registration.
- You'll only be able to register them under CKC. Both parents need to be AKC to register them under that, CKC will register just about anything though.
- You cannot register the puppies at AKC. I assume CKC is Continental Kennel Club. Anything can be registered at CKC.
- You can only register under CKC they don't care what they register, as long as they get your money.. both dogs have to be AKC if registered with AKC, so your only choice is gonna be CKC
- Yes you can under CKC only, the AKC will not let you unless both mom and dad are AKC. CKC is mostly a register for puppy mills and other breeder that can not get a register any were else. I found this out after buying mine and I am getting him fixed next month. He is still a wonderful pup, but if I was to breed I would get a AKC. This is what the CKC form said...
