how much to chihuahua puppies go for in chicago land area ?

ive noticed a drop in the pricing of chihuahua puppies in my area which is north east of chicago, and i was wondering what is the typical price for a chi pup papered and then non papered, because out here mainly puppies are non papered it was a challange to find one papered here.

1. The going rate for one down south raised by someone who knows what they are doing is $350.00
2. I think it depends on the quality of the pups and the pedigree. A pet quality pup from Champion parents runs about $1500-$1800. Sounds like the backyard breeders and puppymills are having less success.
