Can a Maltese and Chihuahua make puppies?

Well,my friend said they can't but i wanna prove him WRONG. So can they make cute puppies? Edit,i didn't SAY i was actually going to make them have babies to prove my friend wrong,i don't even have dogs! but i might get one soon

  2. they can make puppies of course. any two dogs can make puppies. she is getting her breeds mixed up with her species. species r like cats and dogs and they cant mix. breeds r like maltese and chihuahua and they can mix because they r the same species

  7. Any dogs that get together at any given point, can make puppies when the female is in heat... I have seen some weird mixes come into our grooming salon... Ones that make you go how in the h377 did that happen..... So yes a Maltese and Chihuahua can make puppies, but i agree yet again with DP,
  8. Dogs can mate with other dogs. Now you wouldn't want the female to be smaller than the male because that could cause problems for the female when she is caring puppies. The puppies would be to big for her to carry. But if both dogs are about the same size they can mate and have puppies.

  10. They certainly can make puppies. If you wish you can breed a Chihuahua and a Great Dane (I wouldn't recommend it). Tell your friend he's wrong. You can mix any breed of dog but you cannot mix a cat with a dog. Similar to how humans can...a white person and a black person can produce offspring. Or Chinese and Hispanic. We're all the same species. Just please keep it in the same species. Dogs with dogs, cats with cats (no matter what the breed may be), humans with humans
  11. They can bt why would you want to? To prove them wrong. Why? So you may kill the puppies or even the mom? There is tons that go into breeding, which should never ever be used to just prove some one wrong idiot.

  15. Any two dogs,as long as they are male and female,and fertile,can make puppies,but this doesn't mean that it should be done,with SO MANY dogs and puppies being killed in shelters everyday.And,ALL puppies are cute.
  16. Yes, they can breed. If you do get a dog in the future, please don't make any more mutts. There are millions of homeless dogs as it is. We don't need any more backyard breeders. Spay or neuter your pets.
  17. Absolutely. I have a 3 month old female maltichi. Her father was a maltese and mother was a chihuahua. Her parents were the sweetest dogs I have ever met and she is probably the best puppy I have ever had.. She is so so sweet and smart. It is a great mix.
