3. Maltese are very very tiny puppies!! they sometimes dont eat enough and you wont tell untill they pass out. Dont be afraid, all you have to do is make SURE they are running around and acting lively. they have a personality similar to poodles and shih tzus.. (meaning very energetic) they are so fun to play with!! A VERY IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW IS HOW TO KNOW IF THEIR BLOOD SUGAR IS LOW!! A puppies gums should be a rosy pink, if your puppies gums fade to a greyish white.. you should give them a high calorie food to boost it back up (this can found at your local pet store.. ask for nutri stat, or puppy paste) I used to work at a pet store and we had to do this EVERY DAY sometimes! it doesnt always happen but it is always good to have it handy!! hope i was some help!!
