1. I don't know about Surrey, BC, but have you tried looking on petfinder.com? You can search for wherever's closest to you. This is where I found an 8wk old Maltese who was rescued from a breeder. You can see her picture on my blog: http://paws-2-love.blogspot.com/. She is perfect. She's healthy and happy. She is now 9mos old and weighs 5lbs. She was given up because there are light patches of tan on her ears. The breeder couldn't sell her for the premium price. The donation amount was $450 to the rescue home which paid for shots and things I normally would've had to pay for myself anyway. Please consider saving a life by searching petfinder.com first!
2. Petfinder.com Many many Maltese and Maltese crosses that need homes. Don't support a BYB, please... rescue a dog that is needing a home. Try a few animal hospitals, too. Surrey Animal Hosp. Angel Animal Hosp. Apex Animal Hosp. Newton Animal Hosp. Sunshine Hills Animal Hosp. etc...
