How much do maltese puppies cost?

Could someone please tell me how much a maltese puppy would cost. Thanks A Lot!

1. a lot just adopt another breed they probably need your help more than maltese
2. pure bred malteses usually range around $1,000 dollars or more. They are a royal kind of breed, and they are hypo allergenic which is great for asthmatics. you might find one at a local shelter if you're lucky or at SPCA for around $100 or a little more. It depends whether you mind a pure or mutt
3. really depends on the quality of the pup, remember what you pay is what you get, you can get a $100 pup with health issues and may look nothing like the breed itself and when you try to contact the breeder for help, all you get is the answering machine, or you can pay several hundred to even well over a thousand to have a healthy pup and is a good representation of the breed standard with the breeder a phonecall or email away to help you with anything and answer any questions you may have. If you want a good healthy pup, paying the extra money is indeed worth it, if you are bargain hunting then i would suggest looking into breed specific rescues, petfinder and shelters first, my friends brother bought a chihuahua for cheap one time, ended up looking nothing like a chihuahua (boddy too long) and had to be taken to the emergency vet, ended up paying close to $2000 for the medical expenses.
4. yeah, instead of wasting money, adopt another dog (i did)
5. a maltese that is purebred and that comes from a good line is around $1000 and up! but they are GREAT dogs!
