- I don't see why not, just make sure the bigger one doesn't bully the younger one out of all the food.
- They are only 3 weeks apart and they are still babies. They are learning who is the leader of the pack. In time they will decide themselves. Good luck
- You have to stay with them while they eat and make sure the b1tch learns that stealing the dog's food is not acceptable. They will learn manners if you teach them!
- one is trying to bully the other one give them different dishes and they will be able to eat in the same room together. Just dont sit the dishes side by side or the biggest one will tey to take that one also. She is trying to show she is the boss
- the bigger one will attack the little one for their food. it's to show who's boss. make sure you keep an eye on them. the big one could attack the little one quite badly if left the first few times. teach the bigger one to not attack the little one. besides female dogs can be overly aggressive towards male dogs at times, beware.
- Sure. The biting and snapping is just their way of determining who's boss and will stop once they get their social order worked out. Just make sure he gets enough to eat.
- Use separate dishes you do not want fighting to become a bad habit
- Not from the same bowl, but they can eat at the same time. One pup may end up eating 80%, while the other hungry pup only gets 20 % of the food. Make sure each one gets what they need in a day to ensure their nutrition which is so important especially at that age. You are the pack leader(it took me over a year to accomplish this with my German Shepherd, as i was just "his friend " the first 11 months....and for one month been training him properly..in one month he picked up i am pack leader finally). It is up to you if they fight or not . Let the pups know that you won't permit it. You will be suprised how quicklly these super-intelligent dogs will catch on. What works best for my dog is a can with some pebbles inside that you shake by their ears when they are doing something bad and say "no" in a stern voice.
- Of course they can!
- yes i feed my dogs together.Your female is not really that much older than him.they are puppies so they will play around alot.I free feed my dogs and they are about 9 months apart in age and they get along fine.Good Luck!
- i have a german sheppard, lab, and scottish terrier and my german sheppard is the youngest but biggest but she yells at them if the want to eat but we still leave it down and the other two have just learned to h=wait till shes done and then it is their turn
- It is possible that they can eat together. Stay with them while they are still eating, try and comfort the older by putting your hand on its back, amd give some warning if necessary. This may take one week
