- If they are not registered with a legitimate kennel club.. Akc Ukc etc.. Then they are not purebred dogs. They are worth only $50. per puppy at most.
- don't expect much. You are apparently a back yard breeder if they don't have the proper papers...cut your loses and leave the breeding to the porfessionals next time.
- Enough to cover getting their mother fixed?
- If they're without papers then how can you prove their "purebred"? And while will people want to pay money for your puppies and then have to pay for shots, deworming, spaying/neutering, testing for diseases, etc when for $100 someone can get a dog at a shelter with all that included? Do the responsible thing - stop breeding your dog. Every puppy you let your dog bring into this world means another puppy or dog will die at a shelter. And if these puppies aren't spayed or neutered and they breed as well - and you continue to breed your dog - in about six years you could be responsible for the deaths of SIXTY SEVEN THOUSAND puppies or dogs because of the puppies you added to the pet overpopulation problem. Really want that on your conscience?
- I would say $75 at most
- What'd you pay for their shots so far? Each pup is worth whatever shots/worming you've paid for him so far. So like DP said, $50 or so. Purebred without papers is worthless. Purebred with papers but no AKC titles, genetic testing, health clearances, etc. is still pretty worthless. To have a pup worth money, you have to actually put in the money and the time to make sure you've bred a great litter. There are millions of pet quality purebreds in the world, but without the effort and investment, they are all worth nothing.
- You can get $300 to $400 out of each one... That's a lie you can get more then $50 out of them... So what if they don't have papers... I have seen them go anywhere from $1000 to $1500 with and I don't know anyone who would pay that for a dog so I know you can get $300 to $400 with out papers.. And you are not a BYB..
- dp is a good breeder like myself we dont like to see back yard breeders making a profit from by litters that hurt the breed in health and the traits we breed into our foundations so $50.00 is really what we the breeders of this overbreed world would ever dish out, but in your world of scummy lines and scummy welped litters sadley you could profit $400.00-$6.00 each pup iv seen it.
- Just because a dog is not papered doesn't mean it's not pure bred. I have a lhasa that I've never sent the papers in for because he's a pet and I also have a lhasa that never had a registration. They're both lhasas, no doubt. It really depends on where you live, but probably $200, if they're for sure pure bred. EDIT: Don't blast the person! What's done is done. Take entire litter to the vet for worming and vaccinations. It goes a long way towards someone buying the pups. Make sure parents are on site and potential buyers can take a look at them also. Then please get them both altered. It reduces tumors and cancers tremendously as they age.
- yeah i agree, how can u tell they ARE purebreds? Im buying a puppy soon and i wont be going to a back yard breeder. I want a puppy thats been vet checked and has normal bloodlines. I'm getting mine from a breeder and im willing to pay as much as i need to, to get a healthy puppy
- The lady at work once had boxer puppies that were pure bred but didn't have papers. She tried to sell them for $200.00 and no one bought any of them and then she ended up having all of the puppies left. So, I wouldn't start that high if I were you.. Maybe like $75 or $100.
- I paid $350 for a purebred with papers, tatooed AND I had to sign a 'No Breeding Waiver'. Otherwise would have been at least double that. Please stop breeding this race if your not a registered breeder. With the characteristics of this bred, if done wrong, we will soon see boxers on the Banned Breeds list. You should be more concerned with who is adopting your puppies than how much you will get for them.
- some of these people are way off I just bought a pure breed puppy for 400. This was because both of the parents were registered, the pups were bread for temperment and not having papers cut the price down a lot. If you picked a make to breed it with and are able to show buyers both healthy friendly parents then you may be able to get more than 50-75 for each puppy. I would say 150.
- Sell them for $50 a piece to cover shots/worming. And offer to refund the $50 dollars if the puppy buyer brings you proof he/she spayed or neutered the puppy before it is 6 months of age. Unless you want your puppies to end up cranking out even MORE puppies, and so on, and so forth. You know, they say only 1 in 4 puppies ends up with a "permanent home"....the rest end up sold & re-sold & re-sold again, and many of them finally end up in shelters. Shelters where no one wants to adopt a hyper, adolescent 60 lb dog. After a week's stay at the shelter, that's the end of the line for way too many dogs. Even "purebred Boxers". I've worked with Boxer Rescue way too long to think any different. I am truly not trying to be "snobby" or purist about dog breeding. I can't speak for everyone on Y! but I am not against *all* dog breeding. It's just that there is a right and a wrong way to go about it. If you breed, your #1 priority needs to be the animals you bring into this world. Their health & well being, and doing everything in your power to GUARANTEE they will be blessed with a "forever home". I am sure you don't want your puppies to end up dead in a shelter....but unless you thoroughly screen your buyers and INSIST they give the puppy back to YOU if they cannot keep it (even 10 years later)....you cannot guarantee that your puppies won't eventually end up taking up shelter space. Please do right by your animals, and take responsibility for them, FOR LIFE. If you can't keep track of 5 or 6 puppies' well being for the next 10-15 years, perhaps you should leave breeding to those people who CAN.
- OMG what is wrong with you people ..Just because it doesnt have papers doesnt mean it is a mutt..Good lord doesnt matter what you sell them for just make sure they get good homes..Start out higher and lower it if you have to ..And good luck..Not everyone is a BYB if they dont show dogs..
- )Okay, start out at 100.00, this should cover your expenses what you have spent on the puppies, if you can provide proof the mother and father are AKC , then why are the pups not registered......this does not mean they are mutts, just without papers...but people are ask you the same question that I did. if you have the mother, where is the father for them to see. and why did you not register the puppies.... the shots, worming, and tests cost alot of money, if you did all of this, then you can sell the puppies for more, but you will have to provied the vets health certificate and proof of testing from a vet..not just a hand written letter by you, this will never do. I dont know if you breed to just sell puppies, but you do need to stop and ask, was this breeding done to improve the breed standard, doing it for the breed standard, is not trying to sell puppies that you cannot prove are purebred dogs. I am not against breeding, but you have to do it for all the right reasons.....and is for the sake of the breed and for the sake of good homes for the puppies.....they are not mutts, just because they do not have papers...but any dog that is sold like this without papers only leads to that dog being bred and it having puppies without papers also. and I cant say your a back yard breeder, I dont know you, no one on here does, but the way you put the question, is the way all the byb's do put it... maybe you should get your female spayed and not breed anymore puppies that are not of breed standard.... they may be beautiful dogs and maybe purebred dogs, but a purebred dog without papers is as useless as toilet paper in the outhouse, once used... dont try to rob people by putting a high price on your dogs, you will not be able to sell them, honestly you wont, sell the dogs and make sure they are going to a really good home and make sure the people taking the dogs, s/n their dog... good luck Breeder/show/handler 15 yrs. we dont need anymore unwanted puppies out there. please reconsider your postion on breeding unregistered dogs......and not all dogs have to be show dogs to be loved, just all have to be treated like a king and queen from day one, and it is our job to make sure they are...by going to excellent homes for life and not passed from one person to another, then end up in a shelter, where most never come out of once in the door..
- 200-350 depending on the market in your area
