How much should non-registered (with AKC) boxer puppies be sold for?

Public Comments

  1. $300 or less
  2. depends on how much vet-care has been put into them. Since they are not registered, they are basically mutts.. and are only worth what you've put into them, such as shots, worming, spay/neuter, microchipping.. plus maybe an extra $10-20 from each pup to go towards the parent's spay/neuter
  3. If both mother and father are pure bred Boxers then I would say $75-125 without papers.. But without papers it is hard to tell if either parent would be mixed with something...
  4. They shouldn't be sold at all. SInce they are not health tested or pedigreed, you don't even know what the puppies will turn out like, and you have a much higher chance of getting a dog with genetic defects. I would adopt them out for the cost of spay/neutering, so $100 tops. This is a pet and is not worth more than a mixed breed dog. Health testing, pedigree, titles, and predictability are what raise the cost of dogs, these puppies have non of those things. Is the breeder offer a warranty? Most reputable breeders off a lifetime warranty against genetic defects. But then again, pet stores will sale these same dogs to you for $1200+ from a puppy mill............
  5. Animals should not be used as a way to get extra income. That makes me sick.
  6. Depends on the age, how much health care you have given the pup. But on average (with first set of shots) $200-$350
  7. Around 400
  8. Normally unregistered dogs don't sell for much more than the cost of the vet bills the owner has put into the. While you may say that they are purebred since they aren't registered there is no proof of it so they have no more value than any other ill conceived mixed breed pup.
