I have a question on Boxer puppies health?
A friend of mine told me that the momma Boxer had a litter and she was in a bad place. The owner's are selling the puppies for 350.00 each... I knew it wasn't a good place but I went anyway... I'm not really afraid of the hood, I'm an animal lover.. Well, I got there last Sunday 7/27/07. And at first sight, man the conditions were not even good enough for a child.. Not even at the least of the spectrum. I saw these babies, and wanted to take all of them home. Growing up, we had Boxers and they were our inside babies. My friends are giving me grief for even looking in the HOOD.. But I'm not interested in breeding her. She will be an inside baby with an acre to roam to do her business.. I love this breed and I'm not sure what I'm getting for 350.00 in the hood. BUT, I've seen her mom and dad, and well, I wish I could rescue them TOO... Their the sweetest dogs and out in the heat... Anyway, we are picking her up this wknd. I wish I could rescue all the pups. Tina

- Good luck. I don't pay for animals, I go to shelters and save the ones that need a life. are they raising them badly? or is just the neighborhood? Like I said, I wouldn't pay for an animal.
- Oh good, give them a reason to breed another litter of badly bred boxers.. Keep supporting these people and they'll keep breeding.. Call the local shelter and have the mom, dad and litter picked up and saved if the conditions are so bad.. Save them all at once that way.. What's your question?? Will the dog be healthy?? Not bloody likely. You'll need pet health insurance so might as well get it now.
- If they are in the conditions you claim them to be in..please report them to the SPCA or similar organization in your area. It is the only way to stop this kind of treatment of innocent animals.
- if it is that bad contact your asca or humane society and report them. It's good that you are taking a puppy that obviously needs a good home. however if you are interested in getting a pedigree boxer=i'm sure that the ghetto isn't the place.
- If you're that worried, consider alerting authorities. I head for the shelter unless I'm looking for a particular breed(researching breeders for Scotties, lately), but you're setting yourself up for so many health problems here, be careful...and make sure your vet knows where she's coming from.
- I'd bet the ranch they're mixed pits!
