How much are boxer puppies worth?

My boxer just recently had puppies. 6 of them to be exact, 4 males and 2 females and one of the females is pure white? How much should I sell each for and should the price on the white one be different? The father is champion blood and the mother is AKC registered.

  1. Your solid white is probably deaf. Congratulations. Boxers aren't worth much bc they are so over and poorly bred.
  2. Stop breeding dogs if you're not a certified and knowledgable breeder. If you did not intend to breed, then shame on you for not having spayed your dog. There are hundreds of thousands of shelter dogs waiting for good homes. There's no need for you to breed puppies when there is an overpopulation of abused and neglected dogs. If you don't know how much a dog is worth you shouldn't have them. ALL dogs are priceless.
  3. The price on the females should me higher then on the males since females, can have puppies so their price should be, most dogs now days are worth about 350, 450 somewhere in there for females, and about hundered less for males, then for females seeing as how they can't have puppies, and the price for the white one shouldn't be different then the other females, also in the price factor in if they are purebred or not
  4. white ones are regarded as defective by breeders, they tend to have bad genes, and can not be entered in a show. I've also heard they have aggresive tendancies, but i'm sure that that is also to do with the treatment they get. charge enough so that you can pay for a good puppy food brand and vet bills. if they are registered dogs you can charge more, otherwise maybe $300. See how many people are interested in buying them first.
  5. This could depend on where you live - as well as on factors such as whether the dog's dam or sire are champions. Of course if you are willing to ship puppies location is less important. You might want to check out other breeder's websites - as well as places like http://www.puppyfind.com to compare prices on Boxers with similar pedigrees etc.
  6. It depends how good a quality the puppies are. Are the sire and dam champions or do they have champion bloodlines? Did you screen the sire and dam of hereditary diseases? Are they AKC registered (NOT APR, CKC or any other crappy registry)? Are you a registered and ethical breeder (did you follow the AKC breeder guidelines)? If you answered yes to all of these questions, they are fairly good quality pups so sell them for around $800. If no to one question, $550 & SPAY AND NEUTER, if no to two questions, $300 & SPAY AND NEUTER, if no to all questions, $FREE & SPAY AND NEUTER! Why sell for more? If anything, you should sell the white one for less as they are more prone to skin damage (cancer) and deafness. If you are not an ethical breeder (which I doubt you are because you are asking how much to sell puppies for on Y!A), SPAY AND NEUTER and NEVER breed dogs/cats/animals again!
  7. the white one isnt necessarily deaf. or worth more than the rest. unpapered you will be lucky to sell half of them for $100, you will end up giving the last 2 away. speaking from experience here. post them on postaroo or craigslist, but make sure that whoever you sell/give to is worthy of taking one. dont be afraid to ask them questions so you get to know them a little before you place a precious life in their hands. boxers are very high strung and energetic, make sure people know this.
  8. Since it sounds like you are totally ignorant in terms of breeding, I doubt your dog was health tested or proven in work or show. If this is the case, the pups are worth very little. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it is the truth. Even if the father was a champion, the mother is not. You can't just put random sperm and uterus together and expect quality dogs. It doesn't work that way. As for the selling price, you should sell them for $25-$50 to a GOOD home. That includes the white one. According to the American Boxer Club "Approximately twenty-five percent (and this is an estimation as exact records have not been maintained) of all Boxer puppies are either white or almost all white, making white puppies neither 'rare' nor 'unusual.' " 10 Quick White Boxer Faqs's 1. White boxers are not rare. 2. Approximately 25 percent of all boxers born are white. 3. White boxers are not albinos. 4. White boxers can sunburn easy. 5. White boxers can be deaf and sometimes blind. 6. Some people have argued that whites are sicker and have more cancer but this has never been proven. 7. White boxers can be registered BUT the white boxer does not meet the American Boxer Club's standard. The members code of ethics states that it is a infraction to register with the American Kennel Club a boxer of any color not allowed by the Standard. 8. White boxers should be spayed/neutered. 9. White boxers have the same temperment and personality as colored boxers. 10. Check boxers are whites that have spots of fawn or brindle on them. The cause of the deafness associated with the white colour is the absence of pigment cells in the inner ear resulting in a loss of sensory hair cells at about 6 - 8 weeks of age. The shortage/absence of pigment cells is also the cause of the white coat and unpigmented third eyelids (haw). Generally speaking, the more pigment in the coat the lower will be the risk of deafness, but all predominantly white dogs are at risk of being deaf. Please note however that not all white dogs are white because of a lack of pigment cells. Some like West Highlands and Poodles just have extremely diluted pigmentation; they have a full complement of pigment cells, so are not at risk of being deaf. Biscuit shading, commonly around the ears and along the back can distinguish this form of white coat.
  9. my friend bought his colored male a year ago for $300. If you sell the white one, make sure it goes to someone that will take up the responsibility of its possible health issues and be upfront to them as well.
  10. i paid $375 for my pure white male. The white ones are worth less since they cannot be bread and are considered unacceptable by the AKC. Ive seen the brindle and fawn go from $500 and up. you can see pics of my white boxer at http://community.webshots.com/user/Jaistarr
  11. My sister recently bought a female boxer pup for $800 Cdn.
  12. My advice is to find them good homes for the highest price you can get. If you don't live in an area of richness you may have a hard time getting rid of the pups asking 3 to 4 hundred dollars. Also the markings will have some effect on the price as some markings are more preferable for show than others. If these are pet puppies then you will get less per pup. Did you have the tails docked. That should be done when the pups are very young. The younger the better. Can have the tails docked and the dew claws removed at the same time..Talk to your vet. Should be done asap. The most important thing is to find them good homes rather than how much each is worth. Raising puppies for profit doesn't always work. You will also need to start the pups on their vaccinations before they will be sold.
  13. Congratulations on your new babies! I have recently started breeding Boxers myself! Since your male is of champion blood lines and your female is registered you should be able to get a fair price for your babies. I agree with the lady that said you should have all the necasary testing done on your dogs to make sure that you will be able to breed quality, health dogs and not just put a little cash in your pocket. And it may be the same lady who put up all the stats on white boxers which was also right as well. White boxers get a bad rap for nothing really considering when this breed orginated it started with white dogs of different breeds that became the boxer. They are prone more to things like deafness, blindness, and skin cancer because they are white BUT it is no different then a white dog of any other breed. White people are more at risk for cancer then darker people are as well which is why we wear sunblock, so should your white boxer! That being said, if you have done the correct testing, and have all your paper work (registration papers) in order I would ask $700.-$800. for your females including the white one, and $100. less for the males. When pricing you need to take into account what it will cost you to care for each puppy, having tails docked and dew claws removed (3-4 days after birth), worming at 2,4,6,8,weeks of age shots at 4,6,8,weeks of age, feeding watering, bathing, health certificates from your vet, etc. With my vet bills and everything else listed above it cost me about $200.00 per puppy. My dogs have no champion background, but they have been certified for quality breeding by my vet. I sell my puppies CKC Registered ranging from $400.-$600. dollars depending on sex and markings. My male is dual registered AKC/CKC and my female CKC and just an opion to a statement someone else left here for you, the CKC is NOT a crappy registry! In the last 3yrs. I have been breeding, researching, and meeting and talking to new people and breeders I have found ALOT of people leaving the AKC and going to the CKC because of poor response time, help from the AKC, and the fact that they have jacked up their prices on everything so that they can put more money in their pockets. I deal with both registry and I have to say that even though the AKC has been around longer, they aren't any better than the CKC. Good Luck with your babies, and if you are going to become a breeder do all your homework, take the proper steps to breed quality, and do it because you love it and not to make a buck!
  14. It sounds like you have a plethera of information, and some of it is excellent. I would worry more about covering your expenses than about making a boatload of money. Even though the parents have good bloodlines, it seems that you may have missed some steps in the process. Breeding is not an easy thing to master. i would ask about 200 per dog - maybe less for the white one. I would also make sure you are getting good parents for the pups. Good luck
  15. If both are not AKC registered - it is illegal to say those puppies are purebred. Your puppies cannot be registered with the AKC, therefore you will have to sell them for $100.00 to $200.00 at the most. You should sell all the puppies for the same price.
  16. i have a white one and it was worth 1000 dolars. but if you have a brown one probly 500
  17. This is something that you should have thought about before you bred the dog. The white one is probably deaf, you should take him to the vet, they all should go to the vet and get checked out for a good bill of health. As far as the price, I would check in the area you live, but just as a guess, when I bought my Great Dane puppy over 10 years ago, I paid 375.00 and boxers ran about the same in the Dallas area. Good luck on selling the pups, but honestly think about getting her fixed. Dont have more puppies there are already more than enough puppies out there in pounds and they are even pure breeds. And I have 3 other dogs all adopted from Resource places, and all 3 are pure breeds, great dane, basset, and dachshund. Just think about it.
  18. i have a whits male boxer and i got him for $750 because he was a rare color in boxer!!so its ur choice because the price for boxers gos usually from 500-900 dollars depending!!
