- Look on the dog food bag.
- 1) Pick up bag of dog food 2) Turn bag until you see a range of how much to feed, generally by weight 3) Feed accordingly.
- It depends what sort of food it is! You feed less quality food - or more of the rubbish stuff. Did you ask the breeder how much you should be feeding? Most puppy foods have weight guide down the side - you want to feed them their future adult weight amount. Break the meals up into four small meals a day.
- On the side of the bag there will be a chart. It will say the age in one column and the weight in another. find the age of your dog and go across until you match up with her weight. It will say how many cups of that food your dog should be getting. It is probably around 1cup of food per day. Make sure it is puppy food as well!
- It will tell you on the bag.
- Sometimes it will say how much too give him on the food bag, if not its usally about 1 cup three times a day, for big dogs , small dog i guess 1/2 cup three times a day till there 9 months....
