Can Yorkie puppies be registered with AKC, if the parents are registered w/ 2 different kennel clubs?

I have a male Yorkshire Terrier who is AKC registered. I have a female who is registered with CKC. Can the puppies be AKC registered if mom is not AKC?

  1. If by CKC you mean Canadian Kennel Club, yes you can. If you mean CONtinental Kennel Club, then the answer is No.. CONtinental Kennel Club is not a legitimate kennel club.
  2. Like DP said, not if it is Continental Kennel Club. Why would you even bother breeding an AKC male to a CKC female? She isn't registered with the AKC b/c the breeder either broke the AKC rules and is not allowed to register there, or its from a BYB or puppymill.
  3. I have this same question and cannot find a solid answer-I have a chinese crested female I am looking to breed but there are very few in my area and the nearest male that looks good and has been well cared for is registered Canadian KC while my girl is AKC; I want to keep close to home so I can check on her and be there if any issues come up during the breeding. But I also want to be able to register the puppies AKC so that there is no confusion about if they are pure breed or not since there are a great many fake clubs out there and I know CanKC and AKA are the two best.
