  1. I thought there were some breeders in Georgia. I do know that they sell for alot of money.
  2. It's a very popular breed, and one that can have problems breeding and whelping. So, if you are going to get one from a breeder, you have to expect to pay more than $500. If you don't want to pay that, choose another breed, or be patient and keep checking shelters/rescues.
  3. Unless you happen to find one at an animal shelter that does not upcharge for high-demand dogs, you may be out of luck. Every rescue that I know of charges at least $400, usually more like $750 and English Bulldog puppies are expensive. The reason they are so expensive is because it is so difficult to breed them. They dam more often than not has to have a c-section to birth the pups.
  4. i would look in the papers...and other places that they put ads for puppies for sale.......if you do that you are more likely to find cheaper pups.....on the internet they cost a lot more..
  5. You get what you pay for. I'd like a European vacation, and damn, they won't give me that for under $500 either. What gives.
  6. maybe you should try looking in the local newspaper although you said you don't want to pay alot so if that's the case i would recommend you finding a less expensive breed to purchase i just purchased an English bulldog puppy after months of looking and studying the breed and mine cost 2000 and that was the very cheapest so good luck
  7. Go to the Bulldog of America Club site. Here you can find a responsible breeder. You will pay less in the long run for a well bred, healthy, well socialized puppy with a health guarantee and parents tested for possible genetic disorders. http://thebca.org/ Also consider Bulldog rescue for a slightly used dog. They sometimes get dogs under a year old. http://www.rescuebulldogs.org/
