Anyone has English Bulldog puppies?
Does anyone know where i can get an english Bulldog puppy? I want to give it to my husband for our 4 year wedding anniversary. He's a former marine and fought in iraq twice. He's a great man, wonderful husband and father and i want to be able to make him happy in everyway, because i love him and he's my hero....If you know of any place i can get an english bulldog puppy please let me know.(Somewhere in the U.S) i don't trust anything from overseas(no offense to anyone but there are too many scams coming from over there)..I'm willing to pay a small amount for the puppy. Anywhere close to Ct would be great thanks!...It's a surprise for my husband!

- You can check newspapers. Go to a petsmart or petco near you if not there go farther. Check at malls too, you never know!
- Best bet is to call some vet hospitals. They would know of some breeders that comes and sees them. We work with lots of breeders. Including eng. bulldogs. Call them! There might be a breeder near you. Good luck!
- Checkout Hillbillie Bulldogs in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Place does exit, they have the best prices for Bulldogs Or get ready to spend around $3K anywhere else.
- I would highly recommend buying your bulldog puppy from a local bulldog breeder (if possible) or a breeder who you can have actual contact with. My boyfriend and I tried buying a bulldog puppy online and we almost got caught up in a scam except we caught it right at the last minute. The scammer looked really honest, giving us a few personal telephone calls and plenty of information. He had a nice running website advertising his puppies and gave us a very good offer on English Bulldog puppies, but in the end, he turned out to be fake. We ended up buying our puppy from a local breeder and I think it was for the best because that way we can always go to him for questions about the dog and he always gives us helpful advice. But be careful and do some good research before actually buying one, good luck!
- You can check newspapers, but a better way to make sure you get a healthy well bred bully is to ask a veterinarian about local breeders. But as far as cost, you should be able to get one for $800-$1400 minimum.
- Find a local Bulldog group, they will have references for local, reputable breeders.
- The two best ways to find a responsible breeder are by contacting your local bulldog club and by attending local dog shows. A good breeder does his homework long before the breeding actually takes place, and he only breeds in accordance with the breed standard, in an attempt to produce the most "perfect" example of that breed. Hopefully, some of the puppies will have show potential, but there will always be some that will not. If you seek out the "show breeders", you'll at least know that the breeding was well thought out with the best intentions. The pups should have nice conformation, good health, and an even temperament. Thi s t ype of breeder should be a member of the Bulldog Club of America (BCA) and hopefully also a local bulldog club. By holding membership with these types of clubs, members agree to abide by a certain Code of Ethics. If possible, attend an upcoming meeting or event with your local bulldog club. It will give you a great opportunity to meet other local breeders and owners. I also encourage you to join the club so you'll receive their newsletters and remain informed about general bulldog info and upcoming bulldog-related events. To find the club nearest you, visit the Bulldog Club of America website below and scroll down until you find your area. Contact the club Secretary for information and for possible breeder referrals. http://thebca.org/divisions.html The Bulldog Club of America also has a Breeder Referral service at the following site: http://thebca.org/breedref.html The other way to meet local breeders and owners is to attend a local dog show. You'll also get to see a variety of bulldogs. Dog shows take place year-round, practically every weekend, depending on how far you want to travel. These are usually all-breed dog shows, so you'll need to find out the schedule for the bulldogs. In general, they show first thing in the morning, sometimes as early as 8:00am. Check out the following websites to find dog shows in your area: http://www.akc.org/dic/events/search/index.cfm http://www.infodog.com/showinfo/showCal.htm http://thebca.org/specials.html You might also want to consider adopting a rescued bulldog through the Bulldo g Club of America Rescue Network. Visit their website below and check their "Rescue Roster" to find the representative nearest you. Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network (BCARN) http://www.rescuebulldogs.org/ One more suggestion is to visit BulldogsWorld.com's Breeders link below. To be listed, the breeder must complete a detailed application and be approved by the webmaster. The webmaster also keeps a list of breeder complaints. http://www.homestead.com/bulldogsworld/MEMBERSWEBSITE.html I hope this helps a little. Please let me know if you have further questions. Best wishes in finding your perfect puppy!
