  1. Please consider adoption. http://www.petfinder.com are sure to have Bulldogs up for adoption at a very low adoption fee. If you don't decide to adopt, you will need to find a very reputable breeder who tests dogs of congenital (hereditary/genetic) diseases. http://www.akc.org is bound to have a couple of reputable and ethical breeders listed. As Bulldogs usually need to be delivered via c-section, prices are going to be high (from a breeder) and availability will be low so you aren't going to be getting a pup from a breeder any time soon - you will be placed on a waiting list.
  2. Why not Google the national Bulldog club and find your local club and get a dog from a good breeder that is healthy. BTW AKC calls them Bulldogs now, the word English is not part of the name. Same for the British Kennel Club. Too many wrinkles can cause entropion. Buyer beware, one guy on here just found out his California bred puppy was shipped from Russia !!!
  3. I might wait. Your present EBD might have other ideas. Some don't accept another dog and really should be an only dog. Decent breeders aren't on line. Your best bet would be to contact your local AKC Club. I would also hit some dog shows in the area and talk to breeders. As you probably know, these dogs are not without problems. Now they're popular and being puppymilled. Finally I would call EBD rescue. Rescues are the best source for finding out good and bad breeders because we deal with them everyday.
  4. There's NO SUCH THING as"english" OR "british" bulldogs!!! IT'S JUST PLAIN BULLDOG!!!! Go to the AKC SITE & ***READ*** the BREED STANDARD! Contact the PARENT CLUB! Contact your LOCAL KENNEL CLUB!!
