How long should i wait to give away as a present a pit bull puppy from its mom after birth?

my brother has a pregnant pit bull and i wanted to know how long the puppy should be with its mom after birth before i bring the puppy to a new home without its mom

15. I would not take or give away a pup until it is at least 8-10 weeks old. This gives it time to be weaned and socialized with its litter mates.

17. The puppy should be at least 6 weeks old and eating puppy food. Be prepared for a lot of work and sleepless moments cause puppies whine at night for some time after leaving the momma. They make wonderful pets and are very protective of their owners. To help keep it from becoming to aggressive let it be around a lot of people and have it spayed or neutered as soon as possible.
18. I have never let a puppy go to a new home before eight weeks. Pup's learn a lot from their Mom and their littermates. Also, be sure the pup has it's first set of shots and worming prior to leaving. Hope this helps.
19. I have bought a puppy at the age of 6 weeks and most of the shops do at 6 weeks.. But I believe it would be between 6-8 weeks..

Gives them good nursing chance to get needed colostrum (antibodies)from mom; the longer they are with litter mates the better socialized they are as well; also pups will have a good start on switching to softened puppy chow by this time as well.
