Cross Breeds

Pit bull puppy squeezed thorugh a fence and broke the cartildge in one of her ears. Is there a way to fix it.?

My 10 week old Pit bull puppy squeezed through our fence and broke the cartildge in one of her ears. It now lays very crooked and looks nothing like the other ear. Is there a method for trying to fix this ear?

  1. You can try what some breeders do by putting what is called mole skin on the fold to hold it secure till it heals properly, tape works as well but falls apart faster.
  2. ask a vet..unless there is some one out there who might eventually see your question and just happen to know..call a vet..its quicker.
  3. it will probably never heal. take him to the vet who can look at it and know for sure. it will probably heal crooked and not hurt him. if you don't like the look you could crop (partially amputate) the ear, and maybe the other one to look even... but i think it should be more about his comfort than aesthetics. like i said, go see a vet just to be sure it's healing OK and not painful
  4. take her to a vet
  5. i wouldnt try anything bc it could make it worse when my pitt had her cartlidge broke we had to go to the vet so good luck hope the puppy gets her ear fixed :)
  6. If you want the damage corrected ; VET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ; Now , how hard is that to figure out.
