Cross Breeds

Girls on horses (please, girls only)?

I was just wondering if like, youre riding a horse (bearback or on saddle) and your like, on ur period wearing a pad. Is it uncomfortable to ride the horse? Like, even when a LOT of people are watching, dont you ever get worried it might bleed through or something?

  1. I would DEFINITELY be worried about this because the pads would shift.... But I dont use pads.
  2. not to me you might just want to wear a tampon if you think you would be very worried then yeah cause ain't no bleeding happening with one of those bad boys and they are very comfortable not as bad as pads are they are very very way very different
  3. idk ive never rode a hores but use tampons if your worried
  4. Depends what kind your wearing, but usally the safest choice are tampons.....
  5. Well...I wear a pad and I dont find it uncomfortable, and Ive never had a leak or anything like that. Just make sure you wear a clean new pad before you go riding, and maybe wear a tampon aswell if your worried.
  6. If riding and wearing a pad, wear a tight fitting pair (or two pairs) of underwear to help keep the pad in place. If you're concerned about any possible leakage, wear black pants! As for it being uncomfortable, once you start riding, you'll soon forget that it's even there.
  7. ummmmm no not really lol. i rode in the sprint racing (q/horses) when my baby was 3 weeks old. comes down to what you can contain, lol.
  8. I dont think i could risk it... i always wear tampons when riding bareback or otherwise... specially when wear wite/beige jods
  9. i just use pads and it works fine for me, doesnt feel weird or anything
  10. I use tampons, and they don't make me feel uncomfortable while riding. They're basically designed for when you are in a sport uniform where people can tell that you are wearing a pad. I would imagine riding with a pad would feel a little bit uncomfortable, and in tight riding pants people would probably notice that you have a pad on. I suggest that you try out tampons if you haven't already. Good luck.
  11. I use tampons, that way you don't have to worry about it. Horseback riding helps ease the pain of cramps if you are "blessed" like me and get those too!
  12. As a much older rider, who used to have that same problem, it can be a bit uncomphy for the first few minutes, but I agree, use a tampon. My real concern for you is not what you are wearing. After having worked on & off the race tracks & in & out of the show rings- I would be VERY careful around stallions while on your cycle. Some have been known to get a bit crazy around a human female when she is on her cycle. Very dangerous my friend.
  13. I don't use pads, I use tampons. I found it was much easier and less worry free to use them when riding. I use them all the time but I would never wear a pad when riding. I remember when I was showing at a A show on my large pony doing the greens, I started my period and it stained my pants. Let me tell you, I ran so fast to the bathroom. Thank god I had another pair of show pants and a tampon.
  14. actually its not too uncomfortable. Sometimes it slides to the back so adjust it in the beginning. If you wear a tampon IT HURTS LIKE HECK! For me atleast. Just assure yourself that noone can tell and you will be fine.I get in a mode where I notice nothing else I am concentrating so hard and then you just forget about it and RIDE!!!!!
  15. I wear a pad and it's perfectly comfortable and I've never had a leak. If you are really worried though maybe wear darker jodphurs during that time of the month. Or use tampons.. Depends on the person I suppose
  16. Use tampons if you're worried about leaks, they don't hurt at all if inserted correctly. Or black riding pants!
  17. Usually, I'm not too worried. I've never really had tht happen, and I usually wear pads on horseback. But, (I've never tried it, and don't plan to so I don't know how it works) theres this thing. It's like a diaper. For if you're having your period, and your on horseback. It's supposed to be the most comfortable way to dealing with it and preventing leaks. But I don't know about you, but I don't want to wear a diaper so I'm not trying it.
  18. Nope! Never! I wear a pad if it makes you feel better. Also, it seems like it knida stops bleeding until an hour of two later! I used to be worried about it! Have fun!
  19. yes and it has ogh embarrassing and i even ware the extra long!!!!
  20. OMG no...have some faith. It's more paddin so you dont hurt...j/k
  21. No you won't have a problem, I'd just put a new one on before you start riding.
  22. I don't wear pads..... tampon is the only way to go!!
  23. I hate riding in pads - they twist and move about - most uncomfortable. Much prefer to use tampons
  24. I do wear pads and it isnt uncomfortable and they dont leak through but sometimes I get worried they will so I wear dark jeans. Hope this helps!
  25. You know what...I worry about that all the time but I always worry over nothing because it never bleeds through. Just make sure that you have a good clean pad on before you get on the horse. I use Always pads....I don't exactly what type but they are in a peach colored package. I don't wear tampons either. I hope I've helped you and good luck with your riding.
