Why do little girls love horses?
PLEASE, I'm not interested in dirty jokes. When I was younger I noticed friends of mine loved reading, about drawing, etc. horses. From about ages...8-12 or so? Some even rode them on occasion, usually for someone's birthday. I never really cared for horses one way or the other, but I was surprised to see my friends talking and reading about them. Why horses and why do little girls love them so much? I read an anecdote about why a man adored playing the piano so much. He had at least some talent for it, and he explained that it was partly because his father wasn't too involved in his life--that the son had so much love to give but nowhere to put it, like little girls and their love of horses. Anyone who used to love horses care to share?

- I'm a guy, and I used to ride horses a lot. I love horses, but I'm an animal lover, anyway. Maybe it has something to do with that; a large furry animal with big ole' puppy-dog eyes they can ride. Guys develop a love of cars long before they start driving, because it is a symbol of adulthood and freedom. Maybe that is the reason girls like horses.
- there's always a man they can get to shovel the horse shit Vin
- I loved horses because they're involved with tons of stories and myths and things that I wished I coudl be a part of. Fairytale princesses always had horses (or better, unicorns), knights had horses, cowgirls had horses, etc etc. Not to mention that horses are just beautiful animals on their own.
- i dont know. i have been riding since i was born. I now have 10 horses. i personally think it is just from them reading all the fairy tale like books-- princesses with their unicornes and it makes them feel magical.
