What is the evolutionary ancestor of leafy sea dragon, Phycodurus eques?

And have any transition fossils between the supposed ancestor and this species ever been found? What is the evolutionary theory of the development of the salient features of these species, specially in comparison with non-leafy sea horses and the fact that they do not have a prensile tail as other sea horse species do?
