  1. invertibrate anemone and star fish are in this class they have no bones
  2. It is a fish so named because it head resembles a tiny horse. They belong to the family of Syngnathidae. Fish are cold blooded animals. They all have backbones.
  3. Kingdom Animalia Phylum Chordata, Subphylum Vertebrata Class Osteichthyes Order Perciformes Family Syngathidae Characteristics Osteichthians are characterized by a relatively stable pattern of cranial bones, rooted teeth, medial insertion of mandibular muscle in lower jaw. The head and pectoral girdles are covered with large dermal bones. The eyeball is supported by a sclerotic ring of four small bones, but this characteristic has been lost or modified in many modern species. The labyrinth in the inner ear contains large otoliths. The braincase, or neurocranium, is frequently divided into anterior and posterior sections divided by fissure. Osteichthyans have a lung or swim bladder. They do not have fin spines, but instead support the fin with lepidotrichia (bone fin rays). They also have an operculum, which helps them breathe without having to swim.
  4. Seahorses are in the Class Osteichthyes. Sea horses make up the genus Hippocampus in the family Syngnathidae. All have long, tubular jaws much like a snout. The body is compressed, with an elongated tail, and the integument (external covering) is a series of large, rectangular bony plates, with a series of spines and projections along the lines of juncture. These spines, together with the divided, streamerlike fins of some species, give them a strong resemblance to the seaweeds among which they live. The common sea horse is classified as Hippocampus hudsonius. Hope it helps..
