What coloring/breed of miniature horse should i get?

Next Spring I am getting my first miniature horse. I have no idea what color i want to get, mainly because I love all of them. Do you prefer an Arabian style or quarter horse/draft style? PICTURES OF THE HORSES ARE MANDITORY!!! you guys are so stupid there are arabian and quarter horse type minis, arabians have skinnier heads and quarter horses are thicker so yeah, i've done my research on this stuff

  1. Didn't you just post a question saying you ALREADY had a miniature horse already that you thought was pregnant? Your question is stating that you are getting your first one in spring? I think there are the different color patterns, but not neccessarily 'breeds' of mini's . I could be wrong.
  2. I may be mistaken but to my knowledge, all miniatures are the breed 'miniature'. they may come in different shapes and sizes, but not sub-breeds.
  3. Dont think you know what your talking about mate. go get a book on miniature horses out and read it.

  6. Miniature horses have the same coloring as larger (regular sized) horses. Here are different colors: bay, chestnut, black, palomino, albino, tobiano, brindle, buckskin, gray, grulla, cremello, roan, sorrel. See link for photos. I prefer a Quarter Horse or QH cross style build because they're more built muscle wise and bone wise. With miniatures it depends on the cross-breeding and conformation.
  7. does it really matter? get one with a great disposition that enjoys being around you and your family if you have one. i like the qh lookin build just cuz i do... i prefer the breed qh so i gues i would lek the mini qh build as well.
  8. Buy a horse based upon its disposition and confirmation, not its coloring.
  9. get a curly there so cute. I jsut rexcued one and we discovered he was a curly after he shed out and still had curly fur.
