Does anyone have good sources of information on miniature horses?

It can be books or web sites. I'm looking into getting one and need as much info as possible. I need to know about care. Plain horse care will work too.

1. Here is the Miniature horse website- www.amha.com It has a lot of useful information on raising, breeding, and showing mini's. Most mini's are registered through this association. Hope this helps and good luck with your little hoofbeats.
2. Check out little america miniature horses in Buda, Texas for an affordable starter mini. Some of the best show horses that I've ever seen come from Texas. Also, miniatures are easy to overfeed, so if you're not careful you'll end up with a little fatty. If you're going to show, do the research before you go. You'll need sweats, blankets, leg wraps, coolers, a great set of clippers, back up blades, a million kinds of hair products, and a lot of patience.
