Are miniature horses allowed to be owned within city limits?

I live right on the edge of the "city", I am interested in miniature horses ( less than 32" high at the wither) as a backyard pet in our 1/2 acre yard.

8. Check with your local animal control. Most ordinances go by footage requirements. If you have proper footage between your neighbors you can get one. It also depends on what the zoning is for your property.
