- I have learned, that you have to be firm when you say please to an Arabian. ( That's sort of a joke, sorta not) You have to use patience so that you know for sure that they understand what you are asking them to do, then once you know that they have it, give them credit for having the heart not to quit until they get the task finished. You can lead them a long way, but you can't push them an inch, if you know what I mean. I'll swear, there is no quit in them, get them to trust you and they will go to the mat with you, try to bully them and they would rather throw a fit and get themselves into a pickle that could cost them their lives. They are quite elegant and have the stamina to keep up with their spirit. I think that the breed is somewhat misunderstood by some people or maybe some people just aren't suited for them.
- beautiful horses. very intelligent and they are very gentle. they have a vast amount of energy hence they were used to breed the original thoroughbreds. lovely horses to be around and i miss them. always my favourite just type in arabian horses there is tons stuff on line xxx

- Arabians are just like any other horse. Really they are! The ONLY difference is they tend to see things other horses cant, LOL!!! Okay so they can be a bit high strung. No big deal, just be patient. Most of them don't explode with fear. They like to dance and act silly. When I rode, I would just act as if nothing was going on. Before you work on a stud, go visit an Arabian farm for a day and interact with the horses... I ahve learned one thing is true with Arabians, you love em or ya hate em. I personally adore them.
- have a look on the Godolfin web site. They breed and race them in the UAE. They are breed for indurance rather than explosive speed. I saw one in Dubai that was considered the most valuable horse in the world, owned by The crown prince Mohammed

- They are nice horses, but they are quite high-strung. This is a god one. Did you try typing Arabian horses into the Google bar? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabian_horse
- try www.arabianhorses.org
- this is prob best place to go! http://www.arabianhorses.org/default2.asp go to the section education
- Go to arabianhorses.org... lots of good info They have information and listings on discovery farms where you can go to actual breeders and stables that can help introduce you to arabians. They also have listings for mentors, so you can also find someone possibly close to your area who can help you one on one. These are people who voluntarily sign up and the arabian horse world is always looking for new recruits. If you want to get involved with arabians, then it is best to be taught and work with someone who has expereince with arabs. Hope this helps. Good luck
- arabians can be jerks, but also nice. they aerent the nicest horses but they awesome at endurance! they r tall horses. i used to work with one named otiano and he wasnt the nicest he would nip when u put the girth on him, made him trot, outs a rider on him. the list goes on. a VERY experinced rider should ride them. if u r excperienced then go for it! but just watch their temper.
- I'm sorry.....Arabs are horrible little horses......
- if you get to ride these arabs be very careful there not the bomproff sort of horse my friend had an accident on an arab it wasnt her folt it was the horses good luck
- Well I'm totally gobsmacked at some of the posts example "not the nicest of horses, horrible little horses, NASTY" seems to me it's the horrible little people who wrote that who are nasty and "who" said they are not bombproof? IDIOT! how can anyone judge a whole breed of horse" the purest breed may I add" on one or two horses who have probably had the misfortune of being ridden or owned by insensitive "jerks" like the ones who wrote the posts! ranting over, as you will discover not only are Arabians very beautiful they are intelligent and will not forgive rough handling, which is why a lot of people give them a bad name, they are very loyal and are very gentle,it's just a shame that they are more intelligent than some of the people who are caring or riding them.
- i worked for shadwell stud on the rehab side, when we started working the thoroughbreds they acted so dense and they would forget everything the next day that you had taught them the day before, but the arabs were so intelligent that they were so easy to train they would remeber everything from the day before, i changed my mind about arabs since i worked there, although they were the racing type and not the pretty show ones
- In my experience with the breed never tell them what to do! Always ask them nicely lol They are high spirited but you handle them the same way you would handle any horse, firmly but fairly.
