Can you recommend a factual book about wild horses?
I need a book on the way horses behave in the wild. Most good horse books have a page or two on the subject, but I haven't yet found a book dedicated to the natural behaviour and lifestyle of our equine friends. It's for my sister, who's birthday is coming up. she is mostly interested in the mustangs of America.

- Any book written by Desmond Morris will be factual and fascinating. He also wrote a book (The Naked Ape) that studied people the way he has studied animals.
- Desmond Morris is a little simplistic. If your sister is a new rider she will probably like it, but I would instead recommend Horse Behavior by George H. Waring. It's much more technical. Also the American Mustang Guidebook by Lisa Dines is good if you want to "armchair mustang watch".
