Are records kept of horses sold at a sale? If so, how can you access them?

I am trying to find out where a horse I helped cared for got sold to, but I cant find any records kept at the specific sale. Are any records kept of horses that are sold at public sales?

1. yes they keep records.. but i am sure its not public information that you could find on the internet.. you could maybe contact who ever runs where ever he got sold and see what they say. they may not give you the information
