Is it difficult to breed bengal cats?
Is there profits or is it just for fun?

- no it not difficult as long as both female and male are the same breed. but mainly for profits because they are a beautiful cat. its wrong to breed so i dont recomend breeding. SPAY OR NEUTER pets
- Simple answer is no it's not difficult. Get a male and a female and badaboom..kittens. Is it a good idea? Not unless you know what you are doing and have worked with someone in the know. A true breeder breeds to better the breed and because they love their animals. There is not a lot of money in it and there can be quite a lot of heartbreak.
- Here's a helpful website!
- Go to a shelter and see what fun breeding is for the resulting cats and kittens who will be put to death because there aren't enough homes for them. Don't even consider breeding your cat. I was at just 1 pound this weekend where 300 cats and kittens were sitting on death row. The shelter I volunteer for turned down 200 callers who were trying to unload kittens and pregnant cats because we have no room for them. There are enough ethical breeders who know what they are doing. We don't need anymore idiots bringing unwanted kittens into the world to die. This is serious-not fun or profitable. And yes, purebreds die right alongside mutts in shelters every day.
- Not difficult to breed them at all. You must be devoted to cats in general to breed and care for them. There is profit in breeding them to people that want that breed other then that it's just for your pleasure. Please don't breed them just to breed them.
- Respectable breeders hardly "profit" on breeding their cats. A lot of their money goes into showing their cats because the more acclaim their cats get, the higher they can charge for kittens from those cats and the better their reputation as a breeder. And trust me - shows are expensive. Around $100 just to show ONE cat then add in travel, meals, supplies for the show, etc. - one show can easily cost you $500 for the weekend. I have a friend who's a breeder and she probably spends about $20K on shows each year. Not to mention the care, feeding, vet bills, supplies, etc. She did sell kittens from a litter this year for a couple thousand each but that didn't even pay for her shows! And she has some of the top Persians in the world! No one's going to buy kittens from you simply because you're breeding Bengals. People look for champion bloodlines and cats that most adhere to the breed standard. And with Bengals being a fairly new breed that's not very easy to do. Which means a lot of kittens that no one will want to buy. What happens to them? You'd be dumping at a shelter that's already busting at the seams. So go find another "get rich quick" scheme and leave the breeding to those doing it to better a breed - and for the love of a breed - not for money.
