Cross Breeds

My Bengal cat stole a piece of banana bread from the table. Is it OK for cats to eat banana bread?

While were on the subject of bananas, can they also eat bananas?

  1. I wouldn't suggest you feed you cat banana bread :) but I don't think it will hurt him at all. The sugar in it might not be good, but it's not like poison or anything. By the way...I just love Bengal cats, I have a Himalayan
  2. If she's not used to getting the occasional table scrap, it might give her an upset tummy because she's not used to "people food", but other than that, she should be fine. your cat should be able to eat bannanas with no problem. My cat likes apples and it doesn't bother her a bit.
  3. Well it was a "rude move" to just steal it by your kitty. It won't hurt them, the nuts aren't really good for them. Bananas are okay, just in small doses. They can constipate the kitty. SO make sure that kitty is moving bowels regularly and drinking lots of water., or feed them wet food. My cat loved shredded carrots, bell peppers and I actually had alfalfa and wheat grass... he loved grass! As much as he like to barf it up later. Yet- vet said it was okay!
  4. He should be fine. Bananas are often in vegitarian suppliments.
  5. Banana makes cats constipated, theres probably not enough sugar to harm it, and unless you cant has a nut alergy it should be fine.
  6. i think ur cat should be ok my kitty ate some doritos & then threw up. Also, i suspect she ate or tasted some of the soap
  7. it's fine if ur likes it u'd have to say it taste better then mice. yes?
  8. Hi there..banana bread will cause little stomach distress. However, it shouldn't be fed in general. Bananas may cause constipation and in some cats loose stools so also shouldn't be fed as well.
  9. I have a cat who is constantly tearing into honey buns, cookies, bread, toast, candy... and she's fine.
  10. nah, she'll be fine. Mine eats everything I eat. Not banan bread but that's 'cuase we don't bring it around to the house. Suger might be a problem but it's no biggie. After all, if you're worried enough to post this question, you must have de-wormed her.
  11. Your kitty should be just fine, and kudos to you for checking to be sure! Cats, like people, can tolerate a wide range of foods. Just be sure to keep an eye on kitty anytime he/she gets ahold of something, because like people, they also have food allergies. Also, it's important to remember that their hearts, stomachs, arteries, ect., are much smaller than ours, so it takes less to do damage. Hope this helps.
  12. tonight, my cat just ran down into the basement with an entire 12 oz NY strip in her mouth...i could have killed her!! I have 6 cats and they have eaten everything from tubs of butter to noodles...they are fine!!
